Story
This June I am gettting pinked and raising funds to save lives!
Our mother has been battling an aggressive breast cancer since 2011 and after being given the all clear after rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and two operations her cancer returned in 2015 almost to the week of being diagnosed the first time in 2011. In 2015, our mum again was diagnosed with breast cancer this time being in the form of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread throughout her bones and lymph nodes.
In April 2017 we had found out that her cancer had now progressed into the brain in the form of 5 brain tumours, to which 2 brain tumours were able to be removed through surgery after having 5 brain operations and complications, she is now receiving whole brain radiation to target any new and remaining tumours which are inoperable.
Our mum is the most amazing and strongest woman we know. She is a fighter and a true model of what it is like to get up every day and live life to the fullest as much as she can. There are times where she is in pain and can’t do much, but she will always still have a smile on her face and she knows how to light up a room.
Please help us make a difference and help the National Breast Cancer Foundation continue to complete their outstanding and hard work.
